Uploading and Administration

Once the images have been produced they are uploaded to our work server. From there the Staff move them onto the archive server and they are checked by the Catalogers for quality and accuracy. It is the Cataloger’s discretion to deem the digitization of an order complete. The Cataloger may send an order back to the Scanning Technicians for correction or rescanning of any or all images in the order. Time allowing, the Scanning Technician who produced the image the first time will be asked to correct it. After cataloging, the JPGs are added to the Art & Architecture Images collection for the use of UO affiliates. A copy of the TIFs will remain on the hard drive of the scanning station, space permitting, for the duration of the term.
